Hello Everyone! I know I havent been around here lately but the reason is partly because of this announcement! Finally after a long time in getting this project to completion I can now announce that the 550/551 replacement handle scales are now available from Rick Hinderer Knives!
We have a large selection of colors and the handle texture is the same texture that I use on the XM-18. The texture for the ACU camo scale is also offered in regular textured g-10...
These scales are a very cool way to dress up your ZT 550/551! I put the OD green scale on my personal 551 and Rob put the orange scale on his as shown in the pic. So now I switch back and forth from the brick pattern to the xm-18 pattern....These are very easy to change!

We have these up on our website right now http://www.rickhindererknives.com/hi...0-0551-scales/

To assure that these are authentic Rick Hinderer Knives gear I am personally signing each scale on the back!

This first batch will probably go pretty quick!

Heres a quick pic of all the colors!

Thanks so much for your support of Zero Tolerance and Rick Hinderer Knives!

Don't know why, but I was thinking these were for the upcoming 0560/0561. Guess I need to pay attention when I read.

    0550/0551, Duh! These look amazing.

Now I need to decide on what color to get.

Rick I ordered a set and noticed that it appears I was billed for two sets. I only wanted one but if its too late thats fine. I had only needed the one. I only have one 551. Anyway, thanks and nice to see this. I like seeing a variety of scales and had fantasized about that being offered one day by some of my other fave companies. Maybe they'll take the hint.

Now if you could just do this for your knives (drilled/tapped for lefty carry) you would enlarge your base by 18%...just sayin'

    The scales look great Rick!

Do you think you would bother to do them for the 0560/0561 series since you'll need to match the the texture on the Ti side (though I suppose you don't really need to match it)?

These are AWESOME! Rick / Rob - I don't see any highlighter-yellow color - will that be available?

Awesome product. I tried to order a brown scale tonight but the checkout crashed a couple of times. Will try again tomorrow.

The scales look absolutely great and everything , but the price is really out of proportions in my opinion
79$ shipped for a single G10 scale ? that 40% of the price the 0551 was sold at
