I've got a blue frag scale in shipping. As soon as it arrives, I'll post pictures up.

I like the Hinderer texter better than they Frag but it looks like Monkey Edge is the way to go. The Hinderer site seems to have a problem with taking orders. Picking the "contact" option only shows an address. Makes it a little difficult to buy from them unless there is another source.

Where did you get the female screws for the standoffs?

I've been trying to place an order for a flat end for my investigator pen and the website isn't working. The annoying thing is that I can't find the fat end replacements anywhere else.

Anybody know if they're making more of these? I can't seem to find the orange ones in stock anywhere.
Just got my 0550 a couple days ago.. can't use it atm though, my thumb is too sore from the first day of having it
My only manual folder with a thumb stud, and the detent on it is pretty tough to get past sometimes.. but it's getting easier, helps if I don't put pressure against the lockbar..

I am proud to say that I just picked up a translucent scale and a Carbon Fiber Scale!! Such a deal. I have to say that after spending seven bills on a folder I feel bad using it.

Great looking scales BTW!! thanks R.H.

Where did you guys get a wrench for the pivot? It appears to be different in size than the other screws.

Torx wrenches are a hardware store item, they come in many many sizes. Sets of them can be bought on line also, get size 4 through 10 and your are covered...google is your buddy.

Hey guys, first post. Just got my 0550 Friday and this thing is amazing. My first EDC and "real" knife. I got the blue frag scales from Monkey Edge, really loving it. I have been looking for the orange scales but everyone is sold out! Would it be possible to special order them from Rick, or Monkey Edge?

Do you know for sure that size 4 is the size for the pivot? or are you just talking to be talking? I need a wrench for the pivot screw. It is smaller than the others on the 5551. apologies if you were being straight with me. You just came off as being flip.
