Rodent Solution

Hello, I'm new to the Swamp Rat community and am planning on getting the rodent solution. I was just hoping for some information on how SR101 is, wear resistance etc. Also, I was wondering about the edge, is it convexed or a V edge? How about paper micarta versus canvas? Recommendations on blade coating? And could you please post pictures of your own?? Thank you.

I have two, SR101 holds a good edge for quite a while it was purposed for ball bearings, a top shelf carbon steel for sure. The edge is a V edge I'm pretty sure, paper micarta has a smoother texture then canvas micarta. For me blade coating is simply a personal preference.

Oh, I thought for some reason that sr101 was stainless. I'm really liking the black canvas with tan blade. Anyone else with some good pictures??

Aj, I'm heading home from work now, and will post pictures of my RS then.

It is a FANTASTIC blade, and has kept me from spending $300+ on INFI blades that size, although I'm sure I'll get one eventually. Only things to take note of are you better coat the edge, and it's a whole lot harder to sharpen that INFI. In my experience, once you get an edge on it, it'll stay longer than INFI when it comes to light duty work.

Here you go. Sorry for the crappy quality of the pictures. Oh and the RS is a very slightly convex edge.
The fourth picture is the RS attached to the shoulder strap of my survival pack at 45 degrees. The perfect setup IMO.

Ok I just ordered my Rodent Solution and the sheath is sold out so I am going to be buying one from Mashed cat but i'm not sure whether to get a large or a small tek Lok? Do any of you know?
