Your video is not working.
Damn that's cool !![]()
You tube sucks! That is why I dont have music any any of my videos!
Sorry fellas. It should be working now, youtube blocked it earlier because of the music.
Those are very cool!
Looking forward to the next installment!
Thanks, guys. I appreciate it. Here's part two:
Fantastic aesthetics on the hawk Iz. It even looks like an American Eagle with that beard! Do you think it's a thing you would consider commercializing some time?
Glad to hear you escaped the worst with the grinder. I had a really close shave a few weeks back whilst re-profiling an old Tramontina machete on my home belt grinder when the same thing happened except I run my grinder horizontal. Luckily I wasn't standing downwind of the thing when it snatched as it hit the workshop door. Only a marginal nip out of my left hand from the spine of the blade as it turned over when it bit. God got more than a few thanks from me that night I can tell you! Looks like you used up one of your nine there too. Hope you weren't too shook up buddy.
Very nice sir. Very nice!!!
Can't wait for part three.

That is awesome, Iz! Glad to see you survived the grinder incident--that could have been a lot worse.
Hey, brother
Yeah, commercializing is always a possibility for sure. But it's not likely with most things I do. I've had opportunities before to go production and semi production on the sere knives but I have to many rules that make it difficult. Like that the heat treat has to be done a certain way and the all must be tested etc. I don't want our combat soldiers getting something that isn't tested against failures.
Anyway, short answer is Yes but it's not usually practical. heh.
Nj, you're definitely right brother. It could have been a lot worse. I was shaking there for a while afterwards.
Thanks everybody for the kind words and for the thoughts for my safety. I appreciate it very much.
Good stuff cant wait to see more...
Thanks, Monarh
I went ahead and finished one of these ahead of the rest of the batch so I could do some more testing this weekend.
The official name of these is the Model 31 Sheppard's hook
Hope you like it. I'll try to get a write up on it soon for those of you that can't watch the videos.
Part number three
Second prototype finished, this one with black scales

You will not know how many rounds you will need until the fight is over.
