nice. in my younger days I used to carry just a sharpened paring knife with a cut-down handle taped with hockey tape to give it some thickness and grip

we made this on the Illinois river towboat that I worked on. The parts were scavenged from a scrap steel barge. It took about an hour to make, most of that time was cutting off the steel rod attatched to the ball joint that makes up the head. It was taped up for thickness and shoved down into the spring. It was used by my friend out there, a Chicago street gang member, to knock out a hobo that was accosting 2 girls in a Chicago park.
