Just curious, What steel is the blade made from?

The four flanged mace is somthing that I made to discourage door to door salesmen. The steel bar I used for the handle is 28 inches long and is about 1 inch in diameter. The weight of the mace is about 20 pounds.
I found the hatchet in the wall of my garage without a handle. I took a piece of pipe that was laying around and used that as a handle. I just made a cut at the top of the pipe, hammered the axe head on, then bent the ends of the pipe around the axe head.

I usually always have this one in my boot.

    Sent you a PM.
Just because you can't see the difference doesn't mean it isn't there; it just means you can't see it.

Here is one of my creations. I call it the war club. It is a pinion out of a 1973 Ford 9" rear axle. Welded to a 3' chunk of heavy wall steel pipe. Note the bearing. Thats what happens when you crack the housing and leak all the oil out. The whole thing weighs in at right about 18lbs. This thing has hit everything from concrete to vehicles to varmits, and still looks brand new! Well, maybe it doesn't look brand new, but it still functions the same. The vehicle we beat up was an 80s Ford pickup I bought for parts. The damage 4 husky fellers caused to that truck in about 20 minutes was astounding.
