WOW!!! your designs a amazing. Im literally looking at the damascus with the blue finish and am astonished. I have not seen one design I havent liked. Kudos
Amazing!!!
The new bali looks great too. I said this to you in person at the Plaza show, Darrel, but it bears repeating here: your designs are without a doubt some of the very best in the industry. Every design you come up with is just top-notch, and of course the execution is fantastic as well.![]()

Yeah, that one is definitely up there as well. I prefer the texturing and color palate on the new one, not to mention that awesome stellite-core damascus blade. But you're totally right that the patterns of the mammoth inlay and the damascus complement one another perfectly on the older one.

Tritium on a bali - that's genius. And GORGEOUS.
And that 3D machined titanium framelock. Amazing. I will do whatever it takes to get my hands on one when they launch.
This thread needs more pictures. I'm sure Darrel won't mind.

Oh man, what is THAT! What's the handle made out of?
That's gorgeous!
Yep, totally sold on damascus handles. Gonna have to get one like that someday.
Just got off the phone with Darrel. He's doing well. Just preparing for the craziness that is Show Shot. I got some tasty morsels of information out of him too. He's gonna be showing a 7 inch version of the Mad Maxx at Shot, which should please quite a few fans of his - what I like to call - pocket light sabers. Let's face it. A 7 inch folder might as well be a folding sword. He's also going to be unveiling folder collaborations. One with Greg Lightfoot and one with Kirby Lambert. Those guys are top notch. All 3, Darrel included, are some of my favorite knife makers. Dirk's also got some more damascus knives planned. I've already seen one of his prototypes. He does great stuff and really listens to his customers in order to improve his existing designs or fuel future projects.
Also, there's gonna be a lot more contests. I wasn't sure how often we'd run contests, but having talked with the man himself, let me tell you without divulging too much, you all will be pleased.
