The ZDP-189 is the best one of the lot I think. One of my favorite blurs for sure. Good find

Mighty nice find man and that is a great start on a Blur collection you have going there.

Gotta quit procrastination and get my whole "family" together for a group shot. Keep hoping the CF154 will come out before I do a picture though.

Fellow sharp appreciators,

I like, and own, many Kershaws.

The Blur is a favorite, but we all have our personal quirks. I do not like the normal handle inserts Kershaw uses in the Blurs. Once I found the OCC Blur with anodized handles, it became my favorite until they were no longer available.

I can live with the spiders and their webs in the anodized handles, but not the inserts.

I stumbled into this thread some time ago, and I appreciate your dedication.

I think that I once asked about anodized handles for the Blur in this sub-forum.

I am happy to see that Kershaw has produced some new Blurs with anodized handles, but I prefer the non-coated, non-threatening plain blade for my use.

If anyone knows of Blurs with anodized handles and plain blades, please contact me.

I am not wealthy, and I am not a passionate, dedicated collector. I am an aggregator of sharps. One or two examples is adequate for me, although I will admit to having gone far past that on occasion.

The last time that I talked to Bernard Levine (BRL), he told me that the there was a massive shift in collector interest toward modern production "tactical knives." This thread has definitely shown me that BRL still has good instinct.

You have definitely added added some joy to my life.

I just got my first Blur, the 420HC version (I thought it was cool). I can't believe I stayed away from this model, seriously. It was the recurve that had me on the fence, but it's subtle and not at all hard to deal with on a standard strop. I love this thing, and I'm likely going to get more. I doubt I'll fall into the collection mindset, as I'm still running that course with the Skylines, but I noticed that the blade has a hole to receive the detent ball in the lock, which is such an encouraging thought. Perhaps the next will be the S30V model, and I'll see if I can de-assist it.

The blade is pretty much the same size as the 0550, and despite the lack of lefty clip options, I love it. Wow.
