My new bride is a registered dog lover so I got out the old Queen mini-trapper and carved this pumpkin for her. It is Sparky from the new Tim Burton movie 'Frankenweenie' and she was delighted with how it came out. Last year I did Scraps from Burton's 'Corpse Bride' and she loved that one too.

Naw, they have templates for these things that make it simple... if a bit nerve wracking at times.

Heidi loved it though and turned off all the lights in the house for a bit while Sparky was lit up on the porch. It's a nice feeling when your work is appreciated.

It's really nice actually! It flips lightning fast with the studs, but if I want to open it with more control then the slot helps a lot

Work of the most pleasant sort: used the pen blade of my Imperial jack to open a package containing knives.



Sorry for the picture quality. The weather is kind of nasty here today, so these were taken under the shelter of a roof overhang by my front door. I promise better pictures later, along with a story about why there were three knives in a box I expected to contain two.
