We need another run of the Crash Rat! Or the release of the warhawk/megaladon variant of whatever the name was. SR77 car chopping goodness.

I dont want to have to shop outside the family for my firefighting needs.

ETA: The War Hawk is only two weeks away and should prove to be AMAZING!!!

I got a nifty hawk from K5 tactical a while back, its a true beast at 3/8" thick. Might be a good alternative if you cant find a Crash Axe.

Its going to be hard to beat that War Hawk when it comes out.

The K5 tactical has either sold to Benchmade or closed shop. Hard to tell. I dont think it uses S7 which is an important feature for these hawks. I have tried the RMJ hawks and they are amazing. I might just get the loggerhead and see how that one goes. The Shrike was too spikey and dangerous sharp in the dark.

Really? I am out of touch! I had no idea. My K5 is a hammer poll, I like not worrying about the spike on the back as well. I'm not sure of the steel he used, need to research that. The War Hawk looks scary at the spike as well, especially rummaging around in smoke or dark. Custom shop maybe? Grind it down a little and you've got a smart little tool.

Do you have a pic of your hammer pole version? Maybe next to a Busse chopper of some sort for reference. Is the spike on the crash rat blunt or sharpened? Does anyone have one I could check out as a passaround? That would be awesome.

Here is a pic of it by itself, I'll get one tomorrow next to a Battle Mistress or like blade.

The spike on the Crash Rat is blunt, kind of flat tipped, I wouldn't see you piercing anything important if you fell on it. Unless it was a full on collapse on it chest first.

Finally got dry enough here to get out and get a pic, well, dry is a relative term. Now the dreaded mold spores are everywhere.

Battle Rat in the pic, my precious.

Winkler makes a sweet hawk that is more rescue vs combat oriented.
