    Hi folks -

Well - I played a dart tournament today, and my partner who was going to RC test the viKtim was still playing when I was bumped out of the tournament. Can't win 'em all.

Instead, I came home and beat on the viKtim a bit. I have an old cutting board that has been with me for 20 years. It was starting to show it's age, so I decided to chop it up with the viKtim.

And I continue to chop through the board - then drill a hole with the tip of the knife -

All of the chopping did nothing to the edge - it still will slice paper - the edge has not been touched since Mr. K handed it to me at the Gathering. Pretty amazing.

I have one more trick up my sleeve - then I am sending it on early next week.

I am taking the viKtim down to the gear lab tomorrow and we will do a couple of RC tests on it, which I will report back when I get home.

I have verified all of the passaround participants and will publish the routing order in a little bit -

    best regards -

    Hi folks -

I took the viKtim to the metal lab today and had a friend do a Rockwell test on it.

We did three tests and the result was a solid 60.7 Rockwell Hardness.

No wonder this thing holds an edge so well!

The testing put three small dings on the side of the blade, let's call them beauty marks.

    best regards -

Mqqn, great videos man. The cross grain chopping demo is nuts, never seen that before! Pretty stout knife to say the least.

If it`s not too much trouble, could each reviewer post what state he is in? I`d like to know how many states it`s going to visit.

Pictures of the edge just before I shipped out the knife -

The edge is not damaged, the pictures make it look like there is a jagged edge - it's just how the shadows played on the bevel grinding.

The spooky dots are the hardness test dings.

I touched up the edge on my fine DMT and strop, cleaned it up and packaged it for shipment. Maybe lava_lamp will be able to get better pictures.

I finished my last "test" today and posted the results to the review thread. The knife is tough.

It is on its way to RWT.

Thank you, JK, and thank you Andy.

I did. My guilty pleasure. Beating on your nice knife didn't feel right, especially with the guy who made it looking on. I had to channel my inner 12 year-old irresponsible self.

    Thanks for the opportunity.
