Frankly that sucks...and for two reasons.

Obviously people who bail on orders have their reasons, but if its leaving you outta pocket then I can understand your frustration.
I hope things don't change too much in terms of orders and commitments. Who know's what the new year has brought for people though financially.

Also, I am a habitual lurker and get pretty swamped in the size of BF. Often I want to comment but feel a little bit of an outsider in the specialist sub-forums, so don't. Silly I guess.

Anyways, I have just emailed with regards to your DIY post and hoping that the response is not gonna make me cry.

I know. I have seven of his knives. Five are shown on Post 2 of the picture thread. I need to add the other two.

I second the "up for grabs" list. That seems like a good idea.

I love it that someone ordered a JKCBK.
That's me!!! Can't wait! I'm going to start picking off people above me on the list!

Hey, John, can I get a serial number on my JKCBK (#2)??????

John - I just want to be clear, after the order has been placed, you will email us before you start making our knife (or other JK goodness) to confirm we still want it correct?

Don't want to stir anything up here but just wanted to ask a question. If someone commits and you make them a knife and then they back out, could they not be subject to negative feedback on the forum and through iTrader? I just seriously think it's messed up to say they want something and then not buy it.

Probably shouldn't admit this but one night we had some friends over and the beers were flowing. I had had a few too many and posted that I would take a knife on the exchange. Long story short my stupid ass had posted in the wrong thread. I posted in the thread right above the one I wanted. I bought the knife anyway because it was the right thing to do. Ended up liking it a lot too but the point is, I made a commitment. It's really pretty simple.

Hopefully the unnamed Potawatomi and the Semi-Wharncliff EDC are me! Can't wait!

    You're gonna love it.

I sort of wish I had asked John to stamp a #1 on mine, but it's never leaving my possession - not until I'm gone anyway - so it doesn't really matter if anybody else realizes that mine is the original.

I just saw your review and pics of the trapline....uh oh! Now I'm totally torn. I love them both. Start saving my dollars, I guess.
