Man, that is some great work and a great tutorial. Thanks for the how to, seems like this should be a very popular mod to make.

Hey y'all...
1. Wire brush along the washers until they are cut apart, right over the O-rings if already installed.
2. Heat the Leather over the range on low heat or on the dash of your truck until it is hot to the touch.
3. Apply Sno-Seal and allow it to melt and absorb into the leather.
4. Repeat...
5. Repeat some more...
6. Wipe w/ a rag or paper towel to remove excess wax when finished.
The Leather will have a spun fiber feel as well as being water and chem-proof.
Added to the O-rings on the U/F handles... they are non-slip.
Enjoy.

What surprised me was how tough those O-rings are.
That's a coarse stainless-steel wire brush, like ya use to clean a BBQ or de-slag a weld...
...Didn't even phase the O-rings. Neither did the open flame heating and hot Sno-Seal.
Anybody try this yet...?
Love this tutorial! I definitely will be trying this. Out of curiosity, anyone know if the sno-seal treatment will tighten up old stacked leather handles? I have an old Marbles that I'm thinking of treating this way. Thanks again for the tutorial!
Bumped also... because there is no "Mod" Sticky in this Forum.![]()
