Try doing a search. You'll find that a lot of people are big fans of the Kershaw Skyline. It's a knife that you'll like even if you have a lot of much more expensive knives.

If you look around a bit you can find the Buck Vantage for under 50. Sometimes you can even find the Vantage Force for under 50.

CRKT Walmart Ripple. Only IKBS flipper (ball bearing pivot, smooth like oiled glass) you can get for under $50 bucks. After that would be a Kershaw Leek/Skyline, and you can get those at Walmart too if you want to.

Kershaw has many flipper knives to choose from. What size knife are you looking for?

My recommendation would be the Kershaw RAM followed by the Skyline

I really like my Buck Vantage Pro. Very smooth opening, and the blade is centered on mine. I'm also thinking about getting a Kershaw Skyline someday, too. I have a Kershaw Leek, and I really that one, but you have to like assisted opening and the wharncliffe-style blade.

I bought a Kershaw RAM for around 50$ even and a Kershaw OD-1 for around 55$ - both are non-assisted flippers. I haven't tried the OD-1 yet but I have used the hell out of one of my RAMs and I can't say enough good things about it - just a damn good knife.

The RAM is a great knife. I'd highly recommend it, and I wish Kershaw hadn't disco'd it.

If you are looking for the smoothest flipper out there for under $50 then look no further than the CRKT Ripple (walmart version). It has the same IKBS that the regular Ripple has and I prefer the liner lock on the walmart ripple over the framelock on the more expensive version. Makes flipping a dream.
