about 17 years or so ago Novak built a great pistol for me. had night sights on it, some of the first from him. well the half life of those sights was about the same as good whiskey. so away they went a week ago and today they arrived back at the compound. the old sights had a dot front and a bar rear. so it was kind of like dot the bar, well those aren't made anymore so i got the new config with three dots. anyway i'm excited to have my pistol back together and novak did a wonderful job as usual. so here's a pic of it ready for a test run.

Man I love a 1911. 101+ years and Mr. Browning's design is still so state-of-the-art relevant. I've always wondered what he would be working on today if he was still kicking.

If I have to mensurate that pic tonight, there'll be heck to pay.
