There may be a statute of limitations on these things. He may feel so bad about not giving you a cookie that he may find it in his heart to give you the BK-8.

    LMAO!!!

Before BFC and without local friends who are into knives, back in 2006 I saw Becker knives in a knife catalog that I was ordering other knives from at the time. When ordering I thought I'd add to the order and try out one of them there BK7 thing a ma jigs.
The rest is history and that first by chance BK7 sold me many more knives over the years and also was responsible for me signing up as a member to the Blade Forums in my quest for more BK&T.
The knives sell themselves, they are, that good.

I read about them years ago in Tactical Knife, but put them on the back burner. Later got chance to pick up a 10, and knowing the reputation bought it. Then found the Becker forum here and realized what a knife I had! Love the support and contact with Ethan here- few knife companies have their inventor so involved with their admirers. Picked up a nice 11, and have a 9 on the way. Can't wait for the weather to get cool so I can get in the woods with them.

I first heard of Beckers from Dave Canturbury when he got a 2 as a fathers day gift...Looked like a cool knife at the time but somehow I lost interest in it..A few monthes later I watched a couple E2E vids with some featuring becker blades and from then on I kinda paid more attention when people said things like "The BK-2 is a great knife" or "Cant beat BKs for the money"...Eventually when I discovered knife customizing and the amount of cool things people do to production knives I picked up a 13 and 14 to mess around with and that started my interest and respect for these blades (NOTE: Theres nothing wrong with Beckers, I just have a bad habit of customizing blades thats all). "Joined" the forum after I saw the amount off cool things that happen here and also cos I wanted to show off some of my stuff alittle more plus a few more reasons.

Definately word of mouth, wasn't even looking for some new knives but then I was introduced to the 16, then I found the 17, and lookng forward to the 15. Me and my boys talk about the Becker knives by their numbers while others just look at us with puzzlement like we are talking in some kind of code.

I found an ad for an ESEE/DPx HEST in one of my hunting magazines, started researching that sort of survival knife online, and discovered BF thru a google search a little over a year ago. The folks here seemed right up my alley, into pointy things, things that go boom, Archery, hunting, fishing (there's even a section dedicated to my daily carry briefcase!) and had a review that talked about how much better the BK-11 was than the HEST. I liked the BK11 design better, ordered one, joined, BF, and have been glad I did ever since! The amount of helpful information on BF is tremendous, the people are very helpful, friendly, and not a day goes by that I don't read a thread somewhere that makes me laugh out loud! After living in the urban northeast for quite a few years, this site has restored my faith in self-reliant Americans (insert God Bless America theme music here). You folks are also WAY friendlier and classier than the other forums I have perused.

I do, however blame this site for a plethora of new knives in my posession, more than I can carry at once now. I still have many SAKs, Gerbers and Leatherman tools, Bucks, etc, but I also now have 3 Beckers, a few CKRTs, Spyderco, Helle, some old Schrade Sharpfingers, and am eyeing some more that I'm sure I will not be able to live without in the future like TOPS and MORAs...and it's all YOUR fault! I never did get an ESEE, except for a couple of their arrowheads.

I had never heard of BKT either. Found out about it via internet research and other forums. IMO, Mr. Becker's best form of advertising are his satisfied customers, and there appears to be many, many. I have never seen anything negative about any Becker product. It may be out there, but I havent seen it. I also think that BKT being teamed with a major tried and true player like Ka Bar also helps get the word out.
