    Gerber Dime...

Who's got one?? I'm looking for a viable mini-tool to replace the Leatherman P4 on my keychain (I love the P4 but I really want scissors and plus I kinda tweaked the pliers on them). I've never been a Gerber guy but for some reason the Dime seems pretty neat to me. I like how it has scissors and tweezers...two things my P4 does not. Now, I know the new updated P4 (the PS4) has scissors and honestly, I'm probably going to go with that but I was just curious if anyone is rockin the Gerber and how they like it.

How does it compare sizewise to the P4? Side by side photos would be awesome. And is the Dime made in the USA or overseas? My other concern is the exposed bottle opener...being that my keys always ride in my jeans pocket, I really don't want anything jabbing me in the leg all day.

Any feedback and/or photos would be great. I'm kind of hesitant to move away from the P4 (or PS4 now) but if someone can convince me otherwise I might buy in to the little Gerber. I gotta say too...I love the green/black color scheme of the Dime, and the all-black version looks absolutely killer too!

Doesn't even compare to the Leatherman. Fit and finish is nowhere near, the tools stick, etc. — especially on the all-black one.

The only two plus points are the always-on bottle opener, and the nice tweezer-ish shape of the pliers. Otherwise, get the Leatherman.

I've used a good amount of Gerber MTs. They were all so-so. Leatherman pretty much took over those requirements for me. However, at the $20 price tag, I tried the Gerber dime. This thing rocks. Very sleek, compact and comfortable design. F&F is excellent. I think it's actually better than the squirts, PS4, ES4, etc.

I say go for the leatherman squirt ps4. I bought one a couple months ago and I literally fell in love with it. It is my favorite edc, I usually pair it with a spyderco endura or sometimes just only carry the squirt ps4 when I don't think I'll need to do big cutting. I can't recommend the leatherman squirt ps4 enough! I repaired a fence with it and (probably abuse) I was cutting fence wire with the wire cutters. Just today I used to to remove my license plate from my car. Get the squirt ps4 you wont be disappointed
