I happened to get a box of 50 year old ebony. Jet black the best i have ever had. I made a d-2 knife for a guy last week and threw this in so i would not have t0 heat treat for one knife.
50 yr. old ebony ! I haven't seen ebony this black on any other recently made knife, but i do have quite a few vintage USA Jacks (75+ years) with pure black ebony scales.
Makes this knife even more special.
