Anyone here do any furniture making/woodworking? I started dabbling in it a little last fall. Haven't made much yet, just a few pieces for myself to put in the house.

This was my 1st project, a TV stand for the living room. Wanted it to look rustic to match everything else, but also imperfections are less noticeable when people think you do it on purpose :P

A little side table to match the TV stand.

Shelf for the bedroom, nothing on it yet, but I'll probably fill it in with knives eventually. Made out of boards from an old fence I tore down a few years back.

Very interested in seeing your projects! Post em up!

Nice stuff! I haven't started any projects yet, waiting until my house is done. But I have several projects in mind, such as a dining room table made from antique lumber.

I like rustic, and agree with you that flaws just add to the flavor of the work.

Nice pieces! It's always rewarding to make something yourself that you know will hold up better than most of the cheap manufactered stuff. I've made a few pieces for the house...here's my best one and most involved.

I have a couple of 4'x9' work tables I made for the studio out of some 2" hard rock maple treads that we salvaged out of an ADA project on the Kansas State University campus. The legs and stretchers are out of some oak that came from the same job. I don't/didn't have any way to plane/joint the wood other than with a hand plane. They really turned out pretty nice. Heavy, tho! I am currently remodeling an old schoolhouse that we purchased awhile back for the studio. Finally have the time and money to start doing some work on it. I am scheduled to put a new roof on in the next week or two - not really looking forward to that - 12/12 pitch and I am too old to be up there slinging shingles.
