Awesome blade Rick!!! Looking forward to see it perform (next to mine)
.
The blade is done... well, mostly. Still need to make a sheath.
L-6 (RDS) from Aldo
.280" thick
15.75" OA length
9.5" Cutting edge
6" Handle
Shallow convex, almost flat ground.
Cold chisel tip
Sharpened "choil" notch for striking ferro rods, scraping arrow shafts, etc
Hardened pommel plate(5160) for bashing stuff or batoning the knife "chisel-style" using the tip geometry
Handle is leather backed, hemp wrapped and epoxy soaked.

Hi all!!
Well SAMSON is finished and was delivered to his new owner Chris last night, i didnt realize that for Chris this has been 2 years in the making..meaning he originally drew this up and wound up sidelining it until he ran into me, and i will say i was excited when i saw his design! For me there was alot of build challenges, but in the end everything fit up properly and can be takin down and remounted indefinitely, well enough yappin heres some pics..

I love this thread, especially the creativity and diversity of the submissions. Great work guys.
Really nice Bruce!!
Gentlemen,
These are some fantastic knives. I've only seen one I wouldn't necessarily buy assuming available cash was not a problem but there isn't a one I'd turn down as a gift. Wonderful work and keep it up!

These blades look amazing guys! Really excellent work!
Have we reached the deadline on this? If so mine's done...just waiting on sheath material. If not, I may build something else.

Roll call!
Can everyone still participating in this chime in here and say when they will be ready.
I need to start planning a trip for part of the testing.
I'm looking at the deadline to be in about two more weeks.
I can be ready in a week(sheath left to do).

Cool.
Rick, that thing looks to be lightning fast in hand. I love it.
100% finished
Dave, it's also 100% BadAss !!!
Greg, are you making another one for testing?
You did an amazing job on Samson. Very unique.
I'll be ready in a week or less either way. Whether I decide to submit what I built or build something else.

Seeing as my knife is "No Frills" it is getting kydex rather than leather. I'll get on it.....
