Could you guys be a little more descriptive? I am not quite sure what y'all are saying or what to look for here. I am planning to send it in, but if it is something I can fix without ruining the warranty, I might want to take a look at it.
Im not so sure about California.
Gravity knives are illegal, but if a knife has a detent to keep it closed on its own, I am pretty sure thats fine.
Aside from carrying fixed blades and concealing them, california is actually a pretty good state for pocketknives (depending on county-specific laws).

Pinch the blade with your index and thumb finger, and pull out on the blade as light as possible. Does it fill like there is any resistance to your pull or does the blade just swing freely? If there it a detent, you will feel it holding the blade.
OK, feels like there is a detent...
Wow. I've never had an issue with a knife being to easy to open, just the other way round.
Thank you Thomas, will send out tomorrow after work.
Ok, got confirmation it was received on the 14th. Now it's just the wait. I did get my 561 today though to help pass the time, absolutely outstanding in every respect.
OK, got my 560 back from warranty work today. It is perfect! Detent is where it should be, flipper works great, and I couldn't have asked for better customer service. Thanks to all at ZT for making these awesome products and standing behind them!!!!
What was the problem on it? Did they say?
I did the same as you then, I was just wondering if they sent confirmation e-mails. I will not sweat it and let them do their work, no need to bother them if I know it is there.
