Holy S#^@ I am so excited mine should be here by the end of the week! I for one love the color orange. Should be a great folder for camping and outdoor activities.

I just called them, talked to a very nice lady (didn't catch her name) and gave her my credit card number. I am a bit curious though as she said it should be leaving at the beginning of next week. Is that just their standard "response" for shipping/processing time to cover how long it could be or am I looking at waiting about two weeks before I receive it?

I called them Monday, and Monday night I received the tracking number.

Given that, I imagine they haven't got them all in and expect yours later in the week, or something like that.

Could be that all of the knives that are in-house are already allocated and that they're expecting the next batch in from Spyderco later this week

It's always good business to underpromise and over deliver. I'm glad that yours is on the way before they said.

Well first day back to work after two days off and of course its out for delivery (a day ahead of schedule) according to usps. So have to wait another 6 hours or so to get it in hand.

I talked to the same nice lady at CS yesterday. She told me it should "be in my mailbox by the beginning of next week". I'm glad they are here!

some quick shots, First impressions: this thing and smooth and locks in nicely. excited to get out and give it a workout.

    LOOK AT THAT TIP!:

And I am definitely happy with this improvement that was made to the paramilitary design.

I love this knife. After pre-ordering the Green Para 2 (which is my favorite color), I thought for sure I would be selling this one. I never thought I would like such a bright color, but it reminds me of an orange dreamsicle. And it pairs perfectly with my blue STR deep carry clip. Orange and blue... go bears!

Forgive the poor lighting. Also, I swapped the clip to tip up right after I took these photos.

I love the bright orange, too. Mine is absolutely perfect, besides the very rough edge on one side that looks like one of the pictures posted earlier. The only knives I have that are smoother are with axis locks (it beats or matches all others), and it has absolutely no play locked up, as good or better than every other knife I have. I had a few recently come out of Golden recently with mediocre fit and finish--nothing horrible, but nothing great either--but this one really changes my conception of the U.S.-made models.

Mine was also close to what I consider perfect. Very even grinds, and zero wobble or play in any direction, exactly like my standard S30V model. I am very satisfied with this PM2; absolutely every element of my order went perfectly.

I received mine around lunchtime today. All I can say is it is so sick, the orange is awesome, it is just stunning. Like pretty much everyone else's consensus it is near perfect, I haven't found anything wrong with it. It's opening is a little stiff, same with the lock but that is suspected being new. The compression lock engages a little early but again makes sense being new, the lock does make a nice loud thwack sound when it engages. It is nice a sharp out of the box, shaves nicely. The edge is evenly ground, and the blade has no play whatsoever.

I think it is going to enjoy living with it's other brother, the camo Para2. I did take some pictures, I will post them up some time soon (owe some other pictures to the saddleback forum).

Picked up mine today. It's my fourth Para2, but it's still pretty sweet being ORANGE and XHP.
