I know I've been neglecting my poor forum. ..

Howdie guys and girls. Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Been trying to balance the tv stuff, filling orders and getting geared up for Blade. IT IS HECTIC!!!! I really need to hire a secretary to keep up with my emails and office crap. I promise after Blade Show, I'll be right back to surfing the forums all the time. Ever since this Top Shot thing, it has just been nuts.

Speaking of emails, I'm trying my best to keep up with my emails, but I'm getting over a hundred a day now and it's ridiculous. I do get to every single one though. Typically I'm somewhere from a week to two between receiving the email and answering it, so if I don't get back to you right away, don't worry. I will!

Couple of quick updates on the bidness:

    1) Fletcher Knives is seriously bogged down right now between orders and Blade preparation, so unfortunately, I won't be ordering a bunch of apparel for Blade. I just don't have the time or extra dough for it right now. I will however be designing and ordering new stuff later in the year to put on the forums and on the website. So there is more Fletcher Knives apparel coming, just not in time for Blade.

    2) Fletcher Knives will be in a booth this year at Blade Show 2012 along with Fiddleback Forge. If I remember correctly, it's booth #224. If you come by, don't be alarmed by the Top Shot fans. I will be signing autographs and taking pictures with them, but my main reason for being there is selling knives and hanging out with my people. That aint gunna change. I'll be guzzling beer in the Pit just like every year.

    3) Starting after Blade Show 2012, Fletcher Knives is going to start looking at adding an employee. Anyone in the Cumming area, or someone who doesn't mind a drive is welcome to contact me about it, BUT NOT UNTIL AFTER BLADE!!!! A couple of things you should know before you contact me. A) I'm only looking for one person. B) I'm looking for a very specific type of person. C) If you aren't right for the job, I'm going to tell you in a very respectful way, but if that's the case, it is for a good reason so do not be offended. Knife work (and working for me) is not easy. It's not for everyone. D) I'm looking for an employee, not an apprentice. I WILL NOT be teaching you how to make knives. I will teach you how to do certain steps to help me make knives faster. You've heard the old saying, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish and you feed him for life." Well I'm not doing either of those. I'm paying you to help me fish and you can go buy your own damn fish.

    4) The Bush Operator has no dibs spots left. Please stop asking me. LOL.

That's it. I love all you guys and I can't wait until all this craziness slows down so I can spend more time on here. Thanks a ton for supporting Fletcher Knives!

Thanks for the heads up Dylan. I can only imagine how busy you must be. I'm sure everyone here is just like me, just hoping to get a new piece of steel off the dibs list. Have fun, take it easy, make us some cool steel, and maybe get us some teaser pics of your new knives you hinted at earlier.

    Good to hear from you.

That sound you don't hear ... it's me laughing.

This is just your transition to the state we call "success." It's confusing, perplexing, confounding ... and unavoidable.

Someday I'll tell you about the morning I showed up at work to find 25 people waiting at my desk and 1000 e-mails in the in-box(es). I lived ... so will you.

Ok, seriously. I don't make a knife called the Delta Echo, do not sell a knife called the Delta Echo, will never do anything with the name Delta Echo. Dan, the damn knife has a name and it is the 92-N, not the Delta Echo. I'm not naming a knife after you. I don't care how many "massages" you give me.

The 92-n is not the delta echo because it is not the koolest knife you have ever made although the 92-n is very kool.
