I have a hinderer xm-18 3.5 non. Flipper and a xm-18 3 in flipper tried carrying other knives but always go back to carry my hinderers. I carry both everyday they are not ment to be safe queens. I own just about every brand of knives you can think about nonthing beats a Hinderer xm -18.
He means for light scratches. He likes his stuff pristine.
A Hinderer costs 385 for a production model. I know of a custom being offered right now for 550.
If you CHOOSE to pay more than that "to get it now," then that's your choice and Hinderer isn't responsible for that.
I'm very happy with mine that I paid 385 for. And I have no doubt that I could get that back out of it.
But as for resale, do you expect to get to MSRP back when you sell or trade in your BMW?
Not sure how but, a "conversational thread" has drifted so lets get back to the "conversation" and OFF the topic of pricing, selling, re-selling, etc. Blah-D-Blah.
@Rollie-J, once one owns anything, it is theirs to do with as they please as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others.
Enjoy your XMs however you like, I do as well. There is no wrong answer and you do not have to thrash your folder just because some "guys on the Internet" suggest it.
Note that I've repeatedly said "a reasonable amount" not 100% or more of the purchase price - that's not the goal or expectation. Though since you ask, BMW is ranked as I believe the number 2 best value holder when it comes time to sell/trade in. I've done very well with my Bimmers. But as for resale, do you expect to get to MSRP back when you sell or trade in your BMW?
The Zurich Swats were serrated. As I understand it, they are not "customs", but limited special production items. And I believe a couple made a show or two.
We have found that John has become a bit of a troll as of late, not just here but on other forums. So if I see him diverting things, I am just closing the thread down....Mods, you do the same.
For those that may wonder if our refurb services will be back on line, of course they will. We are just too busy right now to be able to turn your knife around in a reasonable amount of time. There is no reason for it to sit here on the bench if we can't get to it, so that is why we cut things off. This has no effect on our warranty or sharpening services, only full refinish refurbs.
We have no plans to offer serrated knives.
