In reality there are some "bad" rides with few or many wheels, just sayin'. Fan and user of all.

@Mt. Wild, you really going to iron butt from VA to GA? Where you going to pack all the steel you score at Blade?
Yup, Just looked it up, Only 553 miles from Va. to Atlanta, Same as Va. to Ct. I did that ride in 7 hours with 2 gas stops.
Plenty of room in the saddlebags for steel.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

Cool, have a fun and safe trip.

None of my bikes would look right with saddle bags, more sporty than cruiser. Relegated to backpacks to haul gear, I'm taking something with 4 wheels and some luggage space. Please no pic requests. I am comfortable with knife pics in a knife forum, but my personal rides are, well, personal.

    Now, back to lotteries...hehe.
We unintentionally took this thread a bit off topics. Neat to learn so many if us have multiple common interests.

    "Zee Plane Boss, Zee Plane!"

Fly in, I'll bring along a 3.5 you can borrow for the weekend, so no TSA or theft issues.

1600 hrs is the Magic #. That and getting to meet and shoot the shizzle with the Herd, it's all good.

The "faithful" that travel all the way to Atlanta (or other show / gathering location) would be understandably livid if a couch-bound Web surfer like us could proxy or a knife offered at a show.
Now an offering just for the Web, that's another story.

Well some people--a lot of people--just flat-out can't go no matter how much they might want to. If you want to vet "faithfulness" how about people who read and post on the forum? A lot of us are not looking for a custom grind or anything like that--or even a fifth or sixth Hinderer--but a single production knife for edc use for a fair price.

Anyway, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask about proxy tickets. A lottery is a lottery. Good luck to those who can make it!

Trust me , I'd love to go but, alas NZ is a fair distance and cost to travel from.

I will be there in spirit however! if only my spirit could enter the lotto! I need to haunt the Hinderer crew maybe?

To these who are fortunate to be able to get to the show I INSIST you take plenty of photos and rub my nose in it

Lotteries Friday and Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Stop by the Hinderer Booth those days before 4:00p.m. fill out a card (two part card) rip off the side with your Name on it and throw it in the hat, Keep the number side and wait for 4:00p.m.
Show up at the appointed time and place Rick will say some nice words and the drawing begins, Names are called one at a time.
Each person goes up and makes their selection (Rob helped me) they pay the asking price and it keeps moving however knives are available that day.
It in a nutshell I think.
Lots of anticipation and excitement, If you are lucky enough to hear your name you will stop breathing and maybe fall over
