Last time he was on was 4/14, so perhaps something is up. There is a previous thread where he went off the map for a little while then popped back up

Otto has drifted off twice now but he's always come back. Life can get in the way of our hobbies.

I'm not making excuses for him but I think he probably just needs more time.

    Good Luck with it.

This is business, with other folks' money on the line. Not a "hobby".

And danroot isn't the only one getting a little antsy...

Not much time involved in logging on and communicating about any delays in following through with those who sent $$$ in good faith.

Hope all is well w/Otto, but seeing as this is at least the second time he's done this...?

danroot - do you recall if the sales listing for that knife ever said he had more than one available?

Yeah, this isnt a first for Otto but he seems to come through eventually. I dealt with him once I think with no issues though.

Did a quick search and got a little kick out of this one

There is a problem I send a USPS Mo to Otto on 4/20/2012, because he told me that the buyer didn't came up with the money, so the knife was available, this was at Jerzee Devil, at 4/18/2012

    "Hi,

I've waited long enough for payment. The knife is yours, if you still want it. It's a cool knife and hard to find. My addy Is:
    Otto Bingel"

So I send the USPS MO, I have the confirmation of delivery and no answer, I try to call him, PM's, and zero, so I already open a case in Jezeer Devil forum, so unless he have several for sale, he sold this knife twice

I've sent Otto a requst to repond to this thread or follow thru with his end of the deal. He is aware of the consequences.
Please keep us apprised of the situation.

If he fails to respond or follow thru on this, your best course of action is to file a complaint against him here:

The sale thread at JD made mention of there being two knives but the thread here at BF did not, at least not that we can see at present. If he told you he had two then hopefully that means he chose to sell them both so you & vitadura have each paid for a separate knife and they just need to get shipped.

Otto is aware of the situation tmbrcrafter of JD, contact him last saturday and ask him about this, he told him that he was moving out , but that he should send the knives this monday, at JD they know that he sold another knife here, so maybe he has two knives, and really will ship them latter, to big question is why he doesn't step up and post something, at least he knows for sure about this post and the one at JD

Give him a call (he posted his phone number in the thread linked in post #2). I've dealt with Otto a number of times and he's always come through in the end, but he's also gone off the map for a while which is frustrating as a buyer.

I have dealt with Otto once. While I had a good experience with him, in my opinion, once you have someone's money in hand, you are obligated to ship their item in a timely fashion. Going off the map with someone else's hard earned money and not sending them their item, and without so much as sending your buyer an email heads up, should not be tolerated here. It is as much the seller's duty to mail the item out ASAP upon reciept of payment as it is the buyer to pay in a timely fashion after saying "I'll take it." There is no excuse to take someone's money and disappear, and this isn't the first time that Otto has done this. Don't put the item for sale if you know you won't be shipping it out ASAP, and if something comes up, it takes 2 seconds to send an email, or even post on BFC about it. Someone who pays immediately deserves to know where their item is. You have their money, show some common courtesy.

After looking around here and on another forum, it's pretty clear that Otto has just flat out took my money as well as a few others.

Really Otto? Are you going to ruin your reputation for a few dollars and screw over some decent folks? I spoke with you last week and you promised to send my knife. You have not returned any calls, emails and the worst part is that you have sold the same knife to more than one person.

files a complaint now, I know when i sell an item, i work nights (btw) I set my clock early so I can ship my items out as fast as possible, If someone is willing to give me their hard earned money, then I'm going to get it shipped out to them as soon as possible, regardless of what's going on in my personal life, I'm a man of my word and business comes first, but that's just me.

I believe that if a problem happen:
    One time is bad luck
    Twice is a coincidence
But for the third time, no doubt that he is not straight guy, and has habits that don't belong to forums like this one

    just my 2 cents
