Oh, kiss my ass Murph, that Colt is spectacular, and I have a real soft spot for them old Colts.
I was planning on snuffing your ass at the Gathering anyways, now, I have a trophy to take.
I will hardly even go to the mall without my camelback. They are amazing, skiing, hiking, camping, fishing, squatching, frogging, frolicking, and pretty much anything that ends in ING. Gota stay hidrated!
I got it for the pack...I aint never used a hydration pouch set-up. I will try it out I reckon
I meant the Condor EDC pouchs are as nice or almost as nice as the maxped pouches. Now the Condor PACKS are nowhere near the same quality as Maxped or CBs. But I think the small Maxped accessories are extremely overpriced for the most part.
I think i would rather toss a couple water bottles in then use a bladder and have the drinking tube in my way, but Like I said, I will try it both ways, see which one I prefer. I'm set in my ways but I'm always willing to at least try a new technique
Hard to beat a GI canteen/cup and a Nalgene combo though. IMO
Some of you Army-types may know if this is a real issue thing or just a novelty pin. A guy here at work told me he found it in a car he bought at auction last night.
My dad's over so I'll have him look at it Murph. But he's Viet-Nam era..got out in '80 so it may be newer then him
He looked, said he carried a real knife like that but Dont recall a pin like it, but he said it could be a Grunt pin..he's ex-Airborne so he dont know Infantry pins LOL
so this means that while ur sleeping...I can slowly work ur hammock up the trees..so u wake up 20' off the ground. Excellent!
Hey guys just wanted to throw this out there. I think I am going to make a new set of these for myself because I donít like how the hex side came out.
Any Beckerhead that wants them just say so and they are yours. If no Beckerheads want them who ever speaks up first gets them.
The fit is pretty good, Slightly over-sized so you could sand them down to make them perfect. They still need to be shaped unless you like flat slabs. They are corian which is a really hard plastic commonly used for counter tops so itís pretty tough. However, being a plastic I would assume it could be dyed so any of you looking to make some colored scales might want to try it with them. The material is pretty easy to work with, I was using my belt sander and it wasnít melting at all so thatís not really an issue. They are by no means perfect but they are free.
Whoever wants them Iíll send them out tomorrow because I am heading to the post office anyway. I need to send in the poster I made for the contest over in the Ka-bar forum. I feel like a complete D-bag because it has taken me so long to get my shit together and send it out. Between finals and life I couldnít seem to manage it.
Here it is with my Grandpas Ka-bar from WW2.
That poster is Great man! I like that a LOT! I would gladly hang one of those up!
I like the white scales too...but I'm a lil scale-rich at the moment, Im sure some lucky stiff will scoop those up
got my IWB holster today. Thicker than i imagined and i guess i need to play around with it to find a comfortable position since its not that comforatable. I like knowing its there but not painfully so when i move. I think i may just end up staying with my falco pancake
Got my Beckerhead hat today, thanks Moose! Funny thing happened when I put it on though, my cool factor went up 100 points. That brings my total cool factor to 100pts!
