There used to be a gun show held in Coquitlam that included some knives. I'm not sure why there isn't an annual knife show in Vancouver. Maybe there isn't enough interest? Look at how few posts there are on the Canadian Connection.
I raped google the other night trying to find a hint of anything closely related to a knife show around Vancouver and found nothing. Why is this?! What could be done about bringing one here?
Forgive me if these are silly questions, I'm still a bit of a noob :P

I supposed, but I come across plenty Canadians in the other forums. Our knife laws are loose and I'm sure there would be enough local interest to just pop in and take a look at all the sharp objects.
I wonder what it would take to bring one here.
Too many hippies!!!
"no weapons here man, mellow and take a puff of this....."
(I kid, couldn't resist!)
Honestly, it's been a decline in redneck country the last few years at gun shows and the like, mostly imported crap with overpriced vendors carrying some decent midline knives, or waaaaayyyy overpriced customs. I still find good deals on slipjoints, but that is usually all. Try antique stores if you haven't- working class knives can usually be found for good prices. Yesterday I was given a price of $35 for a used Gerber Gator and $30 for a used China Buck stockman- why wouldn't I buy them new for those prices? Hard to find deals in the flesh it seems- everybody thinks they are the next antique hunters and price accordingly! (sorry for the mini rant)
Good luck.
I’m surprised as well. As much money gets thrown around in this city? Custom makers would sell a sh1t ton of blades here.
There is no market for a knife show here. If there were, we'd see more knives being sold in local stores. Vancouver is basically populated by a bunch of gortex, yoga pant, and birkenstock wearing, weed smoking, tree hugging, whinning, vain entitled posers. Those that do manage to make it outdoors 10 minutes walk beyond the last Starbucks are a rarity so that the idea of purchasing a knife, a saw, or an axe as a tool would be a completely alien concept.
I know a fair amount in Burnaby as well. Just think about how many people buy from warriors and wonders.
the existence of a great store like warriors and wonders is alone a good indicator of the knife scene in van. and I would actually think that the logging industry as well as the fishing, game and general outdoor scene there would be a high demand for knives and other such tools, especially custom knives, the healthy tourism industry there lends to a greater level of craftsmanship
