Who can temper a sword for me?

I forged a sword when I was younger and able.
I have never tempered it and no longer am able.
I do think that I can finish it, though.
Is there someone who can inexpensively temper it for me?
It's like a cutlass blade with wide fullers. High carbon. Slight curve.

Might want to post how long it is. Do you need it hardened and then tempered?

Blade is 32 1/2" x 39" pverall.
Yes, I need it hardened first.

I'm thinking that it's maybe F6 steel, maybe, but definitely simple carbon steel.
The tang is long enough to 'test fire' the end.

Clay tempering would be super, but probably out of my price range?

You may mean L6 steel? In any case, I've heard of an outfit called three finger knives that Heat treats swords for a reasonable price. I haven't tried them myself as I'm setting up to do my own Ht, but the recomendation came from a good source. You can find them on google.

if you are not in big hurry I'll do it for you but not til after blade show and the Quigley shoot in Montana. that puts it in to july. Oh yeah no clay on l6 just a oil quench and temper to whatever hardness you want.

replied email, but basically it it a sixty something mile rouand trip to the po so your package sat in the po for a week before I got to town to get it. It is in the shop now.
