Hopefully it'll be Mors Kochanski There are a few people who would be cool to see with Cody, like Tom Brown Jr., Chris Nyerges or even John McPhearson. They just want to use someone on the show that is unlike Cody enough so to create good drama for the camera. Personally I'd like to see someone equally skilled and somewhat similar to Cody.
So I'm seeing some of you aren't fans of Hawke, why not? He's the real deal and just cuz you may not have liked him when he did a show with his wife at his side doesn't mean much. He's probably totally different in those situations with someone he doesn't have to explain things to in lamens terms and constantly watch over. Not to mention all the lovey dovey stuff they always did

Hawke would be good, Terry Barney would be better!

"I bet it's Terry Schappert. He's a Special Forces Medic and is an Anthropologist. He hosted "Warriors" on History Channel. Perhaps that explains why Cody used the word "Warrior."

He seems like a decent guy but the fact that he seems to always talk down to his wife combined with the fact that he consciously talks with a deeper voice then is natural, turns me off of the guy. YMMV

And why is he the "Real Deal"?My opinion was formed long before the show with his wife. Check out the "Bizarre Foods" episode with him in it. Most of his advice is ridiculous--KV

My wife thinks he's amazing so it seems his manner doesn't deter the female species !

For me this is a bonus because if it means my wife will watch a survival show with me rather than her usual Greys anatomy, celebrity dancing, desperate housewives etc then I'm more than happy !!!

Shotgun hit it pretty squarely on the head, I haven't seen the bizarre foods episode, but I think he's going to be the replacement macho guy for the show. Being in the minority, I'd rather learn from a show instead of watching manufactured drama.

Yeah can't figure the attraction myself, he's obese, ugly and talks with a girly voice !

Now his wife on the other hand.......

I still think they should get this guy for the show !

I can even adapt and do the Bear Grylls over night shelters !

I've watched all of the episodes of MWW that I could find on youtube, and I've almost finished DS - one episode left to go IIRC. I thought MWW was much better on several levels then DS, and I really liked DS. I think the Hawkes (Ruth will have to do guesty or two) on DS will really rock.

Whats the deal on Dave not actually being military and there being bad blood between him and Cody?
