Didnt mean to seem pushy or impatient. I just get excited whenever there is an update and was hoping for another
If it takes all year to do it right then thats how long it takes. Thanks!
Any pictures of the handle scales progress?
What I'm gonna do is finish a set of brushed, brushed/flamed, blasted, blasted/flamed, and stonewashed. Then I'll photograph the group and let people update their order with stonewashing if they so choose. (no charge for stonewashed finish)
I hadn't planned on doing a stonewash finish but the tests I did were so amazing looking I couldn't not offer it. Plus it's easy as hell to do that's why I'm not charging any money for it. Now the brushed finish on the other hand is a total bitch...titanium has no love for sandpaper and files.
The anticipation for this knife is at an all time high right now, and I only expect it to go higher...
This knife is going to be awesome!!!
Same here, take all time you need no hurries, have a good weekend

I'm going to stick my neck out and ask for a weekly update at leastEven if you are busy, we need some idea as to what progress has been made and where HT stands
This should be one of your priorities considering the money you have for these
Thanks in advance!
I'm sorry, but really? Smiley faces or not this is rude and uncalled for. I'm sure Will is too nice a guy to say it but if you want to make an accusation just come out and say it, don't pussyfoot around it hiding behind "". The man has been very clear in the time line, given pictoral updates and increased finishing options since the original preorder went through that added cost to him with no added price increase to us. I'm guessing this is your first custom anything huh? Do yourself a favor, pull your neck back in and cut the guy some slack. Maybe even apologize.
That said, I'm as anxious as anybody to get this knife and can't wait! Like stated earlier we appreciate your attention detail and wanting to put out a fantastic knife baring your name, take all the time you need.

OK UPDATE!
Here are two different finishes about 80% complete. First is a media blasted finish, very smooth and grippy. Second is the brushed finish done to #220 grit. I like to do lock bar fitting before stepping up to the final 400-600 grit brushed look. In the morning I'll retrieve the handles with a media blast and then several hours in the tumbler. I think you guys will like it.
OK and now an update with the heat treating. I called to check on the status of the blades Apparently, there was a mix up with the carrier where they delayed shipment until both packages were processed and accounted for. Since I had sent them as two seperate shipments with a hefty declared value they played it safe and delayed delivery of one till both caught up. Hell if I know why, but none-the-less we are back on track! You have no idea of the feeling in my chest when the UPS lady said, "That's wierd." LOL

Love the blasted handles! Can't wait to see the tumbled finish. I'm thinking I'll want media blasted all around with a tumbled blade! These are really looking great!
"caaaaaan you diiiiiiiiiiiiiig it?!?"
Can I just have mine already![]()
I left this one in for 3.5hrs of tumbling in the vibratory tumbler with ceramic trilobal media and a few good long sprays of lube. Nice even mottled surface that would hide hard use very well. What do you guys think?
