Joe Houser was kind enough to speak with me about the above three knives, @ OKCA in mid-April, and took them all back to the factory with him for service. The pic was taken today.

The vintage green Bucklite 112 now has a new blade with the 2012 date code. Buck replaced the blade and saved the handle. It works like a charm and is perfect. The tip had been re-profiled and gave me the fidgets over the possibility of catching the short and proud blade tip in my pocket.

The Ecco 274 (Japan model) was replaced with a new one. The old knife had a shortened and proud mail blade that was dangerous to have in my pocket. This blade couldn't be replaced so they replaced the entire knife, long out of production.

The mirror-bladed 111 Classic now has a perfectly sharpened edge, lusterous blade and a tighter pivot. It was dull, the blade was scratched and the pivot was wobbly. It is perfect. It is as if magic has been worked here.

What outstanding craftsmanship exists in Post Falls, ID. I am in awe.

Three huge favors have been done here for me. I am humbled. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Turnaround was one month: Mid-April to mid-May. Blistering chain blue lightning fast in their busy season. Wow! So many chances for failure: plastic breaks, Eccos are long out of production and aluminum is unforgiving to work with yet Buck hit each knive's work out of the park.
