Carrying a sprint Spyderco is like jumping into a cold lake. At first some may be hesitant but the only way is to just jump in. I carry my orange Dodo and Para 2 all the time and have had to clean them a lot. Many of my other knives have had to be cleaned as well. It's fun trying out new steels and the only way is to carry those sprints.

When I bought the blue para2, I had already decided I was going to use it for EDC. When it arrived I took it out of the box, opened and closed it a couple of times, and immediately put it in my pocket before I could change my mind.

I EDC the Sprint Run Nishijin "R".....it's a terrific knife and it would be a darn shame if it just sat in a box unused. I love this knife. Half way in size between a Delica and Endura with a choli. What a gem !

I carry my Sprint Run Rookie a lot. It's my second most used knife.

I only have users (and a couple of spares). Usually carry a 20CP Para or BG42/D2 Military

Was just looking through my collection the other day and realized that the majority of knives I carry regularly are Sprint-runs (from several manufacturers).

It made me think of this thread.

I edc my gray paramilitary 20cp,and my only problem is the gray scales get dirty quickly, but the steel holds an edge really well.

I love edc'ing my CF M390 Millitary. Light weight, great steel, smooth strong action, ergonomic. Whats not to like about it?

Carried and used a spyderco bayoushooter endura. Use it to hell in two months when I was in Vacation, but I have two so one gets used and the other in its box.

I collect and use. I like collecting the Military sprints, but (one of) my EDC's is the grey Para 2 in CTS-20CP.

Mine are all users. If they haven't been used yet they will be soon. Right now I have been in a rut and just can't bring myself to kick the orange Para2 out of my pocket. I think the Meerkat that just shipped today might kick it out of the pocket for a couple days atleast.

You'd call me crazy if I obtained a special cake at a premium price and simply refused to eat it.

The steel of a knife is inevitably consumed with use, but I'd just be happy it doesn't go as quickly as cake.

I have an Orange Manix 2 and a BD30P Manix 2, both of which I use regularly. They've seen quite a bit of day-to-day use and more than a little abuse. I don't give an eff if they're limited runs, I put them to use.

I am in the market for a PM sprint. Is now the time to be trying to pick up a sprint (say a brown, per se) or should I hold off and try to grab a pre-order for a next batch? I dont care for the super high end steels. I guess my best bets right now are to pick up a brown since new batch just released, or try and grab a blue one in December.

Go for it! I think the ones popping up from online sellers are from the last batch. Just picked up a couple for myself.

Use them. I used to be a collector. Having knives just because they were awesome and collectible.
Well, I've consolidated my collection multiple times. This last time I took it from 50+ to 15.
Only ones that have a use or get used or mean something stay.
My "R" Sprint is now going to be my lighter duty thin blade next to my ZT 0560.
I don't care if the knife is:
    Cheap
    Expensive
    Limited
    One of a kind
    Etc.

I will use the hell out of them. =]
