You don't expect sloth357 to admit that Barney Frank (D MA) had anything to do with the housing crash, do you?

Go back and rewatch; John Wilkes Booth was a Democrat! That means Obama is evil and Sarah Palin should be queen.

Please remind us what magical power Barney Frank has to make or pass laws / reforms that caused the crash?

Gotta say, when it comes to the Democratic Party and the Republican Party, I agree with Lewis Black.

It's hard to find any documentation on the internet that does not have some bent one way or the other, but perhaps this will refresh your memory on the subject.

Mr. Frank did not have any personal "iron in the fire" regarding Fannie Mae, did he?

Stop taking the easy way out, by labeling parties and people. Simply discuss political trends we can identify and analyze on the ground at this time.

We have a much better discussion of this interpretive phenomenon going on right now at http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/sh...inst-democrats
When I think "statist", I think Socialism/Communism and I do group them all together per my post. I don't put all Democrats in that group.

Not sure about his involvement with Fannie Mae, but I do think he had some "iron in the fire" regarding Freddy Mac.

Yes - the name Herb Moses comes to mind. It has been alleged that Mr. Frank had a conflict of interest.

On appearances alone there was some question, but my biggest problem is not with this conflict, it is with his leadership and preventing oversight of the agencies, which, in retrospect, may have minimized the impact of the crisis.

I, as does history, benefit from perfect 20/20 hindsight, but the facts is the facts so to speak.

Got awfully quiet in here, eh?
