I for one really appreciate individual knife makers doing collaborations. It offers the public an exceptional design at a more affordable price, gets the designers name out there in the industry and has the backing of a big factory. I also like that there are various scale options available for these knives too. It lets the individual buyer customize it to their liking.

Keep up the good work everyone! We all look forward to more.

Glad you and the folks at KAI have been able to work together to produce some great designs and put them into production. Can't wait to see what comes next from your collaboration. (Spanto, hint, hint).

Rick and Thomas - 2 class acts.
I think that is part of why the collaboration has been so successful. That, and you both make great knives! Greater than the sum of the parts...

Rick thanks for taking the time to show us your appreciation of our appreciation of your collaboration. My favorite is the 055X but I own a 0560 because of the flipper and blade length.

Choosing KAI to collaborate with puts your position in my regard, higher than your own knives ( of which I don't own). For reason from A to Z Kershaw is the best overall knife production company out there. Most business could learn much about corporation to customer relationship from Kershaw. They make quality knives that fit everyone's budget and are satisfied enough with their profit margins to stand behind their products 100% with an outstanding warranty policy.

Thanks go to you, Thomas, and the other folks at ZT/KAI.

The 0551, and 0560 are my two favorite knives out of many. I like them so much I bought identical back ups for each. I carry them almost exclusively now along with my 0301. And this coming from someone with many other folders, and fixed blades from several other top tier manufacturers.

    Good sentiments Rick.

From the Kai family we also send out our gratitude with the support you have given us with this partnership. So very much appreciated.

I'll say to the members that collaborations are not always easy, but Rick has made this type of arrangement very smooth. He's been a pleasure to work with, a true professional, and we as an organization have really appreciated this new relationship. We're all looking forward to bringing out future patterns of Rick's, both on the Kershaw and ZT brands. Cryo's are next, 2 sizes, opening price points, should be good. There is also a ZT LE on the horizon.

    The future looks bright.

    Thanks again everyone!

Thanks Rick and Kai for putting forward IMO some of the best knives out there. The 55X and the 56X are my favorites so far. Can't want for the Cryo to come out.

Thomas can you tell us more about the ZT LE?

Thank you for the reply, but I must decline, because it really should be us thanking you for such a fantastic design! Not to mention [at least I feel], it hits a very sweet spot in terms of size + affordability, with great design and craftsmanship. It lived up to all the hype it generated, if not more!

Thanks so much everyone for the kind comments! As I have always said it is you guys and gals, the customer, that enables me to live my dream.

Thomas, You and the folks at Kai are certainly welcome and the reverse is true. You,Craig,Jim and everyone there have made these projects a joy to do! I feel that collaborations should be a team effort between the Custom maker and the company producing the design whereas the end goal should be producing the very best product for the customer. I feel that we have accomplished that! I too look forward to future projects and am working my butt off to produce more designs that everyone will enjoy.

    Thanks so much again!

Rick we love the knives! You couldnt have teamed up with a better company than ZT to make come collaborations. Now you just need to make some scales for the 560 and 561!
