    California Knife Laws

I like to collect knives and I decided to expand my collection to balisongs and autos. Is it legal to ship into state? I know it's illegal to carry, but not illegal to possess in home. Is there any dealer willing to ship to CA? Bladehq? CutleryShoppe? Thanks.

BladeHQ did me proper, in fact, a bali was the only thing I ordered.

BALISONGS... I got 99 problems and a switch ain't one.

Autos and balis with blades less than 2" long are actually legal to carry in California. It is illegal to carry or to sell ones with longer blades within the state.
Sale of autos (and sort of balisongs you could argue, though it's never really been enforced) over state lines is illegal under federal law, but that's the sellers problem, not yours. You'd just have a find a seller that's dumb enough to break the law and not care, which there are a surprising number of, like BladePlay and BladeHQ.

If you're in California and you want an automatic knife you'll need to fill out the proper forms - the information is provided on our website during the checkout process.
