Maybe someone can help me, first off I am not LEO or military. Second I want to send in my auto stryker to benchmade. Specifically for a new blade and pocket clip. And I need a authorized dealer to do*it. I don't have a local place so I need a online dealer to help me. Anyone have any recommendations for one to help me out?

There are a few dealers who are active members in this forum. GTE217e and BladeHQ are the first that come to mind.

Well I sent off a email to GTE217e's company The Hollow Grind very nice online store. Hopefully they can help me restore this user to former glory.

I think thier is a form you can sign instead of being military etc. go to the website and look . Or call Them. This form just needs filled out ( if i remember correctly)

Yeah I read the form they won't accept autos from civvies. Only from our heroes and knife dealers apparently. I contacted Bladehq as well regardless of who helps me both are very cool stores I am drooling over the ultratechs that each carry.

+1 on bladehq and Dave at the hollow grind.

I also think BM only requires you sign an affidavit saying you are Leo or military. Not sure if their requirement, if any, to include proof of that any longer though. I don't recall them listing that as a requirement.

Thanks for all the info guys. Dave at hollow grind contacted me, his company is not authorized by benchmade yet. Very nice guy I foresee a ultratech in my future and I know where to go. BladeHQ however is an authorized dealer and can help me send it in I just have to contact benchmade and make the arrangements. Both companies are top notch very courteous i can't recommended each of them enough. Also I would rather go through the proper channels in sending in my Stryker, better safe than sorry.

That's odd. Here in Alabama (where they hate bowie knives, or anything half resembling one) I bought a Benchmade Mini-reflex from a cutlery store in the mall.
Since then, I've carried it daily while living both here & several yrs in Florida. I'm about to have the well worn blade replaced but I can't imagine Benchmade
refusing to repair and ship back to a state that both allows purchase & carry of autos.

State law and federal law. Federal law doesn't stop you from owning one, but does limit shipping. State law are the ones that limit your ability to own/carry (which ala doesn't). So it could still be illegal for them to ship it to you even thoughuoir state allows the ownership and carry of one.
