Don't get me wrong, I love D/A autos, but I haven't owned one that I couldn't open faster manually than with the button.

The Lone Wolf double action autos were good knives for the most part. The D-2 Harsey was my favorite of the bunch. I've experienced trouble with the original Lone Wolf scale release. If the spring breaks, the knife is out of commission. it won't lock up in single action and should be considered a catastrophic failure

I've got a few Lone Wolf DA's. 3 D2's, 2 Lobo's. They are all very well made, smooth in auto and manual, and they are the hardest firing auto's I have ever seen. Someone told me once Protech fired hard. I bought a Godfather and was disappointed, it wasn't close to the Lone Wolf. I've got Benchmade auto's too, also not comparable to a D2, Lone Wolf Auto's want to jump out of your hand every time!

Apparently. An indication of power, speed and one heck of a spring.

Owners have a look of glee on their faces when they hand it to you and say "hold on to that thing tight when you push the button".

    Do you have a problem?
You should already know that recommending those without paid memberships is against the rules.

I have no problem and understand the rule. Though I have almost caught myself crossing the line on occassion.

I can see it being a bit frustrating to contact someone who has no PM or Email option available when he only wants to help.
But you really can't tell what the true intent is. To help or to buy/trade.

It may just be my incorrect impression, but it seems we have reasonably gotten a bit stricker since Spark and the mods (especially RevDevil ) provided a list of all the dealers who support BladeForums.
Which certainly makes it much easier to see who they are and follow the rules.
    Much appreciated.

More concise list in RevDevils blog:

Hopefully, we can get back on topic now and enjoy ourselves.

BladeHQ has dropped the price to $89 for the V&D D/A ser. That's as good as it gets. I am going to pick another one up before they disappear.

Guys, dealers pay for the ability to advertise here. Paid subscriptions keep this site open. Linking to non-paying dealers screws everybody. If you want to plug them, contact that dealer and suggest they get a paid subscription here. A 1 year subscription here costs less than a single 1/6th page ad in a mag for 1 month.
