Still anxiously waiting for these to be available again. I liked the idea of G10, but aluminium works for me as well

Thomas, are you able to share some of the reasoning that went into the decision to go back to aluminium?

I agree. I think given the name of this model, it sort of is the main attraction. Why not draw a little attention to it

Any chance there are any of the G-10 version still available? I love this design, but Im just not a fan of aluminum handles. I'm pretty sure the G-10 version would be one of my favorites, but in aluminum...sorry, not interested.

Amazon is taking orders labeling them as 4 to 6 weeks out. Is this accurate? My other concern is that the product description is for the G-10 version. If I cue up a preorder, will I be looking model 1.0 in the face a month from now? Where is the best place to preorder the new version?

We never felt that there was an issue with the G-10 version, but the Aluminum adds more structural rigidity to the frame. The knife is quite slim, but feels very strong as well. It's also easier to Anodize it another color rather than sourcing colored G-10.

More people liked it in black - truth be told, I prefer the silver as well.

Sorry, all the current ones will be Aluminum, and there are no plans for a run of G-10 Knockouts. I'm not sure what your issue is with the aluminum, but I think you might be surprised how nice this knife turned out with the aluminum handles. It feels really slick, and feels more expensive in my opinion.

We have been working on a run of these over the last few weeks. Some have already shipped out. I don't know who is getting them, but there should be some Knockouts available soon. The new ones will all be Aluminum - my guess is that Amazon's description is outdated.
