DFK Big Knife! (something like that )

.36" thick 5160 Steel
12" long - 6" Blade including choil
Neoprene Scales - very grippy, they feel like stall mat but are finer grained
Deep hollow chisel grind with chisel tip
Top secret acid etched finish with polished edge

This one is very well balanced and fast in the hand for such a large knife. The scales have great grip even when wet and have a small amount of give to them. One side is grey out, one side black! I'm including a kydex sheath. I left a thicker glue line than normal on the scale edges to ensure the flexible scale material stays permanently bonded. As always the heat treat was done by me with my digitally controlled kiln and engineered quench oil.

Daniel that is wicked looking!!!! Nice patina you put on it! That would make for one hell of a cleaver for going through game animals bones!! That is a sweet chopper!!! Is the handle material that conveyor belt material? Looks like it would give you a solid grip on it!!!

Thanks! I'm very happy with the patina, it looks even better in person. The knife has a high polish you can still see through the patina.

I'm pretty sure it is a conveyor belt material, it was given to me by a member here. I'll try to find out for sure.

This has a thinner edge and is geared towards self defense and heat treated for edge holding, it is sharp too!
