    Hi Will!

He told me, she made it of sausages and typical hungarian spices... so he called it a hungarian sausage salad

I don´t know, if that meal exists but it really tasted very good

    Kind regards

Barlow had kind of an easy go of it today, but it did slice a juicy evening snack.

Nothing special for the mighty Blade forum knife... but a great piece of craftmanship! I really like it!

Just cutting and peeling an apple....

    Kind regards

My knife gets a workout every single day. Cutting plastic tubing, deburring copper pipe, cleaning the edges off PVC pipe, cutting open packages, etc. it's no wonder it had to be retired.

My Carl Schlieper Muskrat got some tomatoes to cut, which grows my granny (at the age of 88) in her garden... sour and juicy snack between the meals...

Cleaning the newly arrived Colonial stockman today. Let it soak in mineral oil for a while to loosen some of the dirt and hopefully knock down some of the rust inside on the back springs. After that I worked each of the blades open and shut for a while to clean out and lube the joints. The sheepsfoot is still hard for me to open without first opening the clip so I can get a good pinch on it (I don't have strong thumb nails).

It's sharp alright, but so far the only thing it has cut is flesh . . . mine. A slice on my middle finger and one on my thumb while working and cleaning the blades.

Doesn't look much different today than when I received it Saturday, but it is a little bit cleaner inside.

And some good looking food at that.

Got in a little work in the lab today with a bunch more tomorrow. A little cut here and there a little gasket scraping here and there.. you wouldn't believe how much of a mess a graphite gasket can make of a pretty pocket knife, lol.

I used my Case Copperhead trapper to scrape hardened Play-doh and dog puke off the carpet in our grandbabies room today.
The tight radius belly of the spey blade was very useful.

Not entirely the food channel yet, is it?

Also used my Marbles equal end jack to open mail and my new Limited hardback catalog from Cabelas. Yippeeeee!!

Used the 6207 to slice jalapeños and roasted red peppers during dinner prep tonight.

Man my knife and myself just got a true workout at work today.

Ever had one of those days where you just get absolutely filthy on the job? I'm looking at engine coolant, oil, graphite smears, grease, and heaven knows what else... and that's just the stuff on me.

Got the owl cleaned up and thinking it might be time for a lunch time shower for yours truly. I'm also thinking the knife cleaned up a heck of a lot easier than I will, lol.

Yes, ^^^:-) I have a really funny chimney liner story, let's just say my partner didn't hear my say STOP pushing when I was inside the chimney and years of soot broke free:-)

Back on topic, peanut opened up 5 packs of guitar stings, then all the individual parts bags of my daughters new toy, Opinel did food prep, broccoli, and onions, garlic, and shrooms for my steak tips, then slayed the beef.

Today was my first full day EDCing my new Case Peanut. In the morning I used it to cut up an apple, then later at work one of my coworkers was trying to carve a wine cork into a plug for one of our beer taps because we were missing one of the rubber caps. He was trying to use his Sog Flash 2 and it wasn't performing very well. I offered him my Peanut and when he was finished and handed it back he told me "Oh my god, it was like cutting butter! That thing is so sharp!"

The funny thing is that it still has it's factory edge which wasn't THAT great in my opinion, I haven't had a chance to strop it up yet and get it really sharp. This little thing really is an amazing slicer.

Used my Opinel #9 and peanut to make dinner, for the opening of the Olympics.

And my daughter broke one of her toys, so I used my TL-29 to disassemble and ruff out the handle and the peanut to notch and finish the handle.

Nice work Pete, and that pizza looks delicious!

I took the easy way out in dinner prep last night, and used my 10" Wüsthof chef's knife for slicing onion, garlic, squash, zucchini, asparagus, and portabella mushrooms, instead of one of my traditionals. Probably shouldn't admit it here, but it is much quicker to use, and when adding different texture veggies into a high heat wok at different times to have everything come out the same temp and texture just before dropping in the pasta, time is of the essence.

After returning from a party for friends celebrating their 50th birthdays and 25th wedding anniversary, I used the Böker Tree Brand barlow to slice a jalapeño for a late night pizza snack.

Just finishing up a vacation with the family and thought I'd share a few quick tasks that the peanut performed this evening.

We were in our motel room around 5:00 and had later dinner reservations, as my daughter was to sing at a restaurant late in the evening. She's only 9, but her vocal teacher had the gig and wanted her to sing a few songs.

We knew it would be late before we ate at the restaurant, so we ordered 4 slices of pizza to hold us over. I picked it up and brought it back in a full size pizza box.

My wife asks, did you get plates? Of course, I didn't, so the lid of the pizza box was sliced into four equal squares and everyone had a "plate". My younger sons slice was also cut up into 2 smaller slices making yet another peanut memory.

    Sorry. Didn't take any pics.
