Only half alive, if that, Petah. Remember that I've been brain dead for at least forty years. And I'm going to vanish from this thread so it doesn't get derailed. I really like this Jungle Honey!!!

Damn, that is great news Jimmy! Looking forward to your e-mail. Must have been great having Fred and Elsa forging with you!

The more I look at this rendition the more I like it, a great package!!

And, Win... expect a note from me later today. It seems as if I have indeed managed to haul my aching and falling apart carcass back from the land of the broken-down and incapacitated old geezers to the point of being able to get the shop open and the forges lit. I'm just about to finish up a large tanto-ish fighter and have ten or so smaller pieces in the works.

Fred Perrin and Elsa Fantino were just here from France for a few days visit before heading off to the Blade show. Now there's some inspiration! Loved watching them working in the forge and was striker for Elsa on a couple of blades.

Hi to all the guys and gals here. I've missed this place.

Wow... what a thread! A beautiful rendition of Jimmy and Don's work... AND a most welcome return by one of our heroes--- Jimmy Fikes!!!

Wana- GREAT work!!! (I'm going to admit that I had to get google to help me figure out how tall 160cm is in feet and inches)

And of course, MUCH THANKS to our friend Win for bringing this to Jimmy's attention!

Alive but not kicking very well Missed you to, Hans. Will get a letter off to you soon and catch up on things. Hope all is well with you.

Wana has done one heck of a job on this piece, for sure. Love that sheath he's made for the piece, too! A most excellent craftsman.

    Howdy, Nick

I'm beginning to think I should have stayed out of sight. Dang! I'm so far behind in everything I can't even seen anyone's tail lights!

Hope all is well with you. I can tell that all's well with Wana if that blade is any indication.

I consider this the ultimate zombie blade man! are both edges sharp? (did somebody already ask that). I would want it with a kydex sheath myself, but I'm crazy.

May I ask, so the hamon, modern hamons, is cosmetic more than functional? It looks like most people are using them for looks and I'd think if it was a functional thing there'd be a way to calculate how much edge you want hardened more? maybe somebody could explain to me?
