How about a Chopweiler? Not to big or heavy. Great chopper. Still capable of smaller chors and I wouldn't hesitate to thrust it into anything.
Now finding one is a Whole other Story!
For a good all-rounder, try the sarsquatch. Not too heavy or too light, and with a great blade shape and balance.
Now I'm curious as to what shoes were matching the spear![]()

If you are reading the above post, then I'm probably procrastinating

I did beat on my TGLB, alongside a 711 from the Yard, and I'd take TG with me in a survival situation. Chops more aggressively, splits/batons just as good, CUTS, and the top guard does not get in the way at all. And it is definitely lighter. I agree about the exposed tang for chisel like work.
Coating keeps on quite well, but I'd not worry much about it. I used my Basic 4 for fruit and veg and there is only slight trace of patina on it, after mangoes and lemons and tomatoes, the same mix turned 1084 almost black! And I remember someone posting their failure at forcing patina on INFI with vinegar...
I want to see the shoes.
shoes? i don't know nuthin about no shoes![]()
I'm beginning to worry about you guys!!!................................

If I had to pick one knife to survive with, it'd likely be my NMSFNO.
After that, I'd go: .22" or Skinny ASH, SAR-6, SFNO, TG LB, BJ.
I would never carry just one knife though, so I don't think about this all that often. I usually have a big/large piggyback setup, or if I'm not covering much ground, I'll carry my B11 in my pack, and carry a 6"-7.5" knife strong side and a 3"-4" knife on my shoulder strap or on the back or weakside for cross draw.
Get the TG LB. it is an incredible knife in my opinion, especially at the cost you can buy one at from the Busse right now.
Otherwise, get a SY or SR knife. If you don't like any of the designs available right now, you could pick up something like the chopweiler off the exchange if one comes up.
SY and SR knives are incredibly durable and I wouldn't hesitate to solely rely on one in a survival situation.

I recommend the cold steel Gurhka kukri VERY useful.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyGXtqgkRA0
Bro, if you're going to recommend a Kukri in the Busse forum, make it the RIGHT Kukri

Generally speaking it seems that budget and idealistic budget plans go out the window once INFI and Jerry's killer designs take hold of you...if you haven't already succumbed to the INFI effect, then you've been warned![]()
Even with the increased price, the wonderful reality of Busse-kin blades is that you won't have to worry about much (if any) depreciation, even after you use it!
IMHO the SFNO is well worth every penny it costs over the original shop price! It's a wonderfully beefy knife with fantastic ergonomics and I'd say its performance and capabilities as an all-arounder are almost identical to the SARGE - you can't go wrong with either. I haven't handled an NMSFNO yet, but based on what the SFNO feels like in hand (they have the same handle design) and what I've read about the NMSFNO it also is worth considering if you can deal with the slightly larger size...
Like everyone said, you really need not worry about corrosion when dealing with INFI. If rust ever does actually form, INFI doesn't appear to pit or seriously corrode- it never gets past being superficial surface rust...just thinking about the unexpected rust resistance, along with INFI's many other magickal properties makes me tingle
I know you'll be thrilled with whatever blade you choose![]()
It's a condor parang with contoured handles... i hated the handle shape, so i improved it. I added a front finger groove and contoured the back end way down to produce a nice palm swell
Someone mentioned Busse was going to release an FSH. Is this actually a possibility or just wishful thinking?
