I finally have my first auto, dont know what took me so long to give in and get one. I think it is love at first flick. So much so that Ive already ordered another, albeit smaller and a hair less $$$. This is gonna be an expensive intrest isnt it fellas

What I would like very much (after a search turned up a few intresting threads) is to hear from you guys that EDC OTF's. Obviously they arent meant for batoning wood. How do they hold up over time? Done any heavyweight cutting with em? How do people react when you use it to accomplish a task?

The coolest thing for me is that its putting life back in an old hobby that has kinda cooled off a bit. After so many Benchmades and spydercos they all kinda start to blend ya know?

    Have a great one guys!

Lol fingerprints and sweat etc. Till I decide if its a user or a collection blade. If I ever decided to move it I want it pristine

IMHO Microtech OTFs are beautiful, collectable, and can always be converted to cash.
The only othe knives I believe to have that quality are Daltons, and the don't make D/A OTF knives, just a few S/A ones.

That is an awesome looking knife. Great video you did. Just be very careful with it. These automatics are like Zombies, they tend to multiply out of control if you are not careful.

You sure like those Godsons! Where were you when I was trying to unload mine?

Most are Godfathers (4" blade), small one is a Godson (3.5" blade). If you ever seen one in person and felt the jolt when it opened you would be hooked. I like the stiletto blade, not tactical like the Benchmade Stryker camo, but very viper like.

I thought I had counted three, weird angle on that second pic makes it look like a Godson.

    Really nice!
Will you get a G10 version when they become available?

You are correct of course. There are two godsons in the pictures, not one. My error. I'm was just tossing some Pro-Tech pictures into the tread now that I have learned how to do it. Now I have to figure out how "Runs with Knives" did that video of his fantastic new knife. He is way ahead of me in this media stuff that is for sure.Mel Fassio Custom Knife Pic #1.jpg. He has music! I don't want to hijack his posting. My crummy knives don't shoot out the front like his does. One thing about Pro-Techs is that have the greatest recoil of just about any automatic knife. Wouldn't you agree.

I love the action and feel of my Protechs, very solid and a perfect lockup. If you like the OTFs, look into Protech's Dark Angel.

That is pretty. I have a good friend who carries a scarab every day on duty and says that sometimes the blade jams when firing out likely because it gets pocket lint in it is my guess. You will have to let me know if you have the same experience with yours.

So far It just sits in its box being pretty. Lol. I EDC my troodon on the weekends as I just cant resist carrying it. Its the perfect size and weight, and the clip is obnoxiously good. Ill find out about the pocket lint soon enough, but Im guessing its nothing a little compressed air wount fix. I also love the scarab and might add one to the collection one day. Right after the Sebbie.

I like my microtechs, but I never seem to hold onto autos very long. I recently sold my Combat Troodon.

...But it was worth it! One of those offers I couldn't refuse!
