I got this micarta handle Condor Bushlore I traded for in the mail today, (thanks bkoregon)and thought I'd do an unboxing, and give a few impressions.

    The box it came in:

    Opened:

Contents; sheath, knife, warning label, and Condor booklet:

A little staining on the micarta, but nothing that can't be lightly sanded out, I'm sure. TBH, I really don't mind, this is gonna be a user:

    Out of the wrap:

Yee haw, it fits my hands by God. I have a hard time finding mid-sized knives that fit my hand (thanks Tradewater for the recommendation):

Sheathed. A tight fit, which is good, but a little difficult to get the front of the handle into the sheath. I'm sure it will get better with use:

    Some outside shots:

    Condor stamp:

    Made in El Salvador:

Spine and handle contour shots. Spine is sharp, should throw sparks well, and handle fits my hand very comfortably:

    Rear-ish shot:

    Not a true Scandi, there's a microbevel:

Will shave a bit, but not down the entire length of the blade. Nothing a stropping shouldn't fix:

Size comparison shot. Next to the BK2:

Did I mention it fits in my hand?

Is this knife perfect? Of course not. Is it worth the money? I sure as hell think it is. I just got it in a few hours ago, and haven't gotten a chance to use it, but I can tell I'm gonna love this blade. It's exactly what I was looking for. Now, gotta get that Hudson Bay, and Nessmuk, and...

Thanks for the preview. I have been looking at one of these and one of their Nessmuks. Give us an update when you start banging on it!

It's really nice. I asy that without using it, but I can tell I'm going to love it.

Thanks brother. If you held it, you would want it. It's the perfect size, imo. At least, for me it is. You should get yours here within a day or two.

Man, thanks for the recommendation, much appreciated. I love this thing. Haven't set it down too much. Warlock huh. You damn evil tempter, haha. That does look bad ass.

Thanks for the great write-up! I have the wood-handled version, and after a little work on the edge, it's a great little user with a pretty comfortable handle. I'm a fan.

It's my first Condor, and it won't be my last. I'm eyeballing that Hudson Bay, too...
