Chevron Dive Knife

This knife is marked 440 stainless/Chevron/Seiki Japan. I believe that this is a late 1980s dive knife made by the same manufacturer that would later make the Aristocratic Knives Wraith bowie. Unfortunately, the brass medallion in the handle has deteriorated, but I believe it reads GUARANTEE...KMARK KNIFE. It is an interesting piece and I would like to know more about it.

Who was it that made the Wraith? Hiro made at least some of the Aristocrat knives, but I don't think they made the Wraith.

Mike Stewart was involved in the design of the knife and said that the handle was not his design. The producer decided not to make the investment in a new handle mold and instead opted to use a handle which had been developed by the factory for an earlier dive knife. I believe the knife in the OP is an example of that earlier dive knife. But we still do not know who made it, when it would have been offered, or what the Chevron marking actually refers to. If it means Chevron Corporation then that would date it no earlier then 1984.
