Personally I think there was a lot of luck involved, and the two assailants were both young and not very vicious.

Possible. But also bear in mind girls trained in combat hit freeking hard since you often don't expect it if you don't know.

Seems like she did everything right. As I always tell people, if you act like a victim you will become a victim. She was assertive in her actions to let them know she wasn't to be F'ed with, and when the situation did escalate she was smart enough to use the bike as a barrier which was the best thing to do. Those kids probably would have raped her if she was acting scared and helpless. Animals love to prey on the weak.

It's crap like that happening to people that makes you sick. Luckily she was trained and was able to deffend herself. Honestly when i hear about people preying on weaker targets it gets me so riled. I wouldn't doubt she hit hard even though she is a women, because technique in a punch is the most important part. Plus, while i don't know many women that have a lot of upper body strength, i know a lot of women who have rediculously strong legs, and since thats where the power of a punch starts from she probably hit freaking hard if she has been practicing for 20 years! Good for her!
