Looks like a very well-executed design. Attachment options are a good thing. That firestarter loop on the outside face of the sheath is real different from most, which lay along either the spine or edge side of the sheath. That one looks kinda like something Buck Rogers would appreciate.

How snug is the Firesteel loop around the shank of the ferrocium rod? Reason I ask is that, with use, the firesteel will get skinnier and I wonder if it will get loose enough to either rattle or fall out.

Looks good! I've got 5-6 sheaths from him.

As far as the firesteel issue mentioned about a piece of shock cord would ensure you never lose it after its worn down.

ya its tight now but ill use some shock cord when it gets used more! love it!!! i really wanted a belt loop attachment and he did an awesome job!! and ya i like the way the fire steel lays over the face of the sheath i just didn't want it sticking along side of it. i like this design a lot better!!

Excellent sheath system! I am a belt loop guy myself but been eyeballing the shoulder harness systems from some members. I have a Basic 9 that needs pants.
