    +2 on flatheads.

Those look great! I'm in for Black Paper!

Anyone else looking for black canvas micarta, as well?

    Hey guys,

Today I found some decent looking handle screws at Texas Knife Supply. I don't want to post a link to their website, but they are called "designer screws" and the part id is "fast1". They are allen head, black, and have a star on them. I personally like them and think they will look good recessed in the handle. Can you guys go to the website and check them out for me? Id like to hear your guys feedback on them. I ordered a few just to see how they look in person. Next week we should have a fully completed prototype and ill take pictures so you guys can let me know what you think. You'll be able to see what these "designer" screws look like in the handle.

I personally don't like the star, but it's not a deal breaker.

Thank you for posting that picture for me eloreno. If anyone knows where I can get the same screws minus the star please let me know and I will be happy to get them instead.

Look for "Corby Bolts". Should be able to easily get SS Torx Flatheads.

Ill do some more digging. Most of the corby bolts have a super tall head that won't work with such thin handle scales.

They are going to be textured similar to the Ratmandu scales. If some of you would prefer smooth I can do smoothe too.

    This looks very promising!
I'd be interested in a set or two, canvas micarta, black and green, probably.
Will you also make kydex for SW with the handles on?
Thanks for going the extra mile to keep us in the loop!

Yes, the kydex sheaths will be for the wardens with handles. Thanks for bringing that up so I can clarify. Were getting close to having these done for you guys.

I'm interested. Green canvass or green linen? If it's green canvass is it really green? Or is it black? Thanks!

Green canvas is more green than black. Its almost like olive drab. If you do a google image search you'll be able to see what it looks like.

We have got the fit almost perfect. We had an order come in from a customer that is currently tying up the mill. In the mean time I have been ordering and testing different hardware for these. The original designer screws I showed you guys are too long and won't work. We found some internally threaded rods but the outside diameter is the same size as the head of the screws we want to use. I just got my new Jantz catalog and they have exactly what we've been looking for...so I think. We've ordered a few just so we know for sure they will work, waiting on shipping. We are trying to find an option that we will not have to modify to save on cost of having to modify them ourselves.

The only draw back to the screw and threaded rod combo from jantz is the screws are torx. Not everyone has a torx key so were still keeping an eye out for something that will be easy for everyone. Unfortunately, Jantz will not sell just the internal threaded rods or this would be done by now lol.

    Thanks for update.
I think the Allen or Torx should not be too big a problem - can get them in any hardware store.
And someone will chime in with THE RIGHT screws in a short time...
I'm happy with Torx & Allen set, have my knife maintenance set...
