    Lal Bahadur Bishwakarma also known as “Bura” is the Royal Kami of Nepal.
    Having made top-grade khukuris for the royalties, he was commissioned to produce some of the sharpest, toughest yet beautiful Nepal’s famed national knife for Himalayan Imports.Bura has stopped making any blades due to his health and his works are always in demand.

    Bura D-guard Fighter

    15 ¾” 31.4 oz. D-handled khukuri by Bura in very nicely figured hill walnut handle with D-handle brass guard and dragon-engraved bolster. About 4-5 of these were made,2 or 3 in 15" version and 2 in 18" version and those were years ago.3/8" thick at spine.
    Both Karda and Chakmak has hill walnut handle and the scabbard is very well made

    Bura Basdol

    Truly a special blade by its own: Bura made a few variants of these to commemorate his hometown of Basdol and it’s also the Turkey knife for Auntie Yangdu during Thanksgiving 2009.I've only seen one piece of this fancy version so far and Berkeley have one Basdol as well.

    17” OAL, 25 Oz with about ¼” at spine. I cannot capture the hollow forged finish on the blade with my camera (it has very shallow fullers near the spine) but i believed that's what made the blade so light.
    The metal ring on the horn handle is made of 100% silver.
    Beautiful engraving on the pommel.This blade has only managed to slice juicy Turkey and it's been stored hence.
    Intact scabbard with matching Karda and Chakmak.Patina has been removed with Flitz and blade has mirror finish now.

    Final Bura of the Finest Khukuri Series:

    Bura Dui Chirra (BDC)
    This is a Shop 1 model and was made before Uncle Bill (U.B) walked west and certainly the fullers are very distinct. The overall length is 14" in length.
    At only 17.5Oz this is an all-rounder camp tool that's easy to carry around as well as performing light chopping task.
    The handle is of beautiful Satisaal wood and the tang is tapered towards the butt.








    You can see some minor scuffs on the 2ndary bevel due to light use:



    Lal Bahadur's Biswarkarma insignia on the RIGHT SIDE of the blade (current blades all has Kami sign on the left face, U.B carving on the right face):




    The fitting on the sneath is snug enough that the khuk doesn't fall off when held upside down.

    Bura DUI Chirra for sale

    Sorry if i am bugging you, I am very new to forums and threads and all this stuff so I wasn't sure if you got my response about the dui chirra for sale, as I will be unsure if you receive this one as well. I was curious of how old the blade is. I am new and don't know when U.B. walked west or when Bura stopped producing blades. If armed with a better concept of the signifigance of the blade being produced in the era that it was I could have a better appreciation for it. Thanks, Dan.
